Creative Ideas for Date Night

While Valentines day is tomorrow (my bad for getting this out late) there are many exciting activities you and your significant other can do year-round! While there are definitely some basic things of this list there are definitely some ways to shake up these ideas for your creative needs to be filled - and also not breaking the bank!

Idea 1: A Picnic

Picnics are definitely not a new idea for an inexpensive date, BUT there are so many different ways to make this a fun and creative experience. One thing I loved doing on my picnic was splitting tasks for both of us, this way responsibility is not just on one person. Who brings the blanket? the basket? Who is making the side, main meal and dessert? Have fun with it! Make some of your favorite meals to share and find a cute place to set up. I personally recommend a local park (bonus points if it has a pond).

To be even more creative, pick out some fun dishware, napkins, and decorations to personalize your experience to you! Date night (or afternoon) is supposed to be exciting. Add some things you both love to make it a fun date for the both of you!

Idea 2: Library Dates

My local library is definitely one of my favorite places, and there are so many ways to make this a date you will never forget. Now, I know that this isn't the best place to talk but there are so many ways, that you can make this fun! One way to do a library date is to book a study room for about an hour or two. Doing this you can do PowerPoints for each other, check out a video game and play it, or just have some quiet time to talk in a distraction-free environment.

Another way to have a fun library date is to check out books for each other, and if your library has outside seating, read them together and talk in between chapters. This is the perfect bookworm date!

Idea 3: Fast Food Formal

Fast food formals are a classic for getting able to dress up nice, without breaking the bank. Pick your favorite spots, one for appetizers, the next for main course, and the last for you dessert. Have this be a fun time with your partner by getting to talk in the car, picking out fun locations, and not settling for only one time of food!

These are some super fun ways to spend time with your partner either for valentines, or any other date night throughout the year! Make these as creative as you want!
